Cloth, woven, the same band

Fabric wristbands

Fabric wristbands are the cloth band people wear for a few days and often keep afterwards. What we send is woven wristbands. It is the same thing. You can order them from us, or ask for a quote if you want a logo or a word on the cloth.

In short

  • People say fabric or cloth. What we send is woven wristbands. It is the same thing.
  • They sit on the wrist for a few days. People shower in them, sleep in them, and often keep them after the event.
  • A sliding lock holds the band so it cannot come off over the hand. This is not the tear-off band we use for a single night.
  • If the night is a party or a school social, Tyvek is usually enough.
  • The price depends on how many you need and whether we put a logo on the cloth. You can see that when you order, or we can send you a quote.

Fabric, cloth, woven

People say fabric, cloth, or woven, and they mean the same band. It is a soft cloth strap with a lock that slides. We call it woven, and that is what we send. It is the same thing.

You can have a logo, a word, or a full colour graphic put on the cloth. Send the artwork and we will make a picture of it for you to approve before we make the real bands. There is a recycled cloth if you want that, so mention it when you order.

How they stay on

The cloth goes around the wrist. The lock is what stops someone taking it off and handing it to a friend.

  1. 1

Put it on when they arrive

Someone slides the band onto the wrist as people arrive, then pushes the lock up so the loop is too small to come off over the hand. The lock means the band cannot be tampered with.

  2. 2

Leave it on for the days of the event

People keep the band on through rain, showers, and sleep. The cloth stays comfortable, and staff can still see the colour or the design.

  3. 3

Keep it, or cut it off

When they go home they can cut the band off, or they keep wearing it. That is why people order fabric for a festival or a camp, and not only for the night.

If it is only one night

A fabric band is more than you need for a birthday in a backyard. For that job, Tyvek sticks on once and tears if someone tries to pass it on.

Use fabric when the event runs over a few days, or when you want people to keep the band. If you only need the band to stay on until they leave, and you do not care if they keep it, plastic clip wristbands use a clip that breaks the band if it is forced off.

If you are still choosing between types, start with event wristbands and we will talk you through the date and how many people are coming.

FAQs

Why do people wear cloth wrist bands?+
Because they are comfortable for more than one night, and people like to keep them. A festival, a conference over a few days, or a camp is the usual job. The cloth sits softly and it does not look like a throwaway paper band.
How do fabric wristbands work?+
The cloth goes around the wrist and a lock slides up so the band will not come off over the hand. Staff can still see the colour or the design. People leave it on through rain and showers.
Where can I find fabric concert wristbands?+
You can order them from us. We ship across Australia from Melbourne. If you want a logo or a date on the cloth, ask for a quote and send the artwork.
Are fabric wristbands the same as woven wristbands?+
Yes. Fabric, cloth, and woven are names for the same band. If you order fabric wristbands from us, woven wristbands is what we send. It is the same thing.
