How they go on

You hold the band straight and slap it against the wrist. It curls around and stays there. Nobody is peeling a sticker or sliding a lock. That is why people hand them out at a promo, a festival, or a giveaway. People also call them slap bands or slap bracelets. It is the same thing.

Because they come off, they are the wrong band if staff need to know who has already come in. Anyone can take one off and hand it to a friend. For that job, start with event wristbands and look at Tyvek, woven, or plastic clip.
